“If he desired to know about automobiles, he would, without question, study diligently about automobiles. If his wife desired to be a gourmet cook, she’d certainly study the art of cooking, perhaps even attending a cooking class. Yet, it never seems as obvious to him that if he wants to live in love, he must spend at least as much time as the auto mechanic or the gourmet in studying love.” ~ Leo Buscaglia from Love
I love that quote. Isn’t it bizarre how few people actually study love? You’d think we’d take one of the most important subjects of our lives a little more seriously, eh? Well, if you’re committed to living with more love in your life—with your significant other, family, colleagues and friends—then Leo Buscaglia (affectionately known as the “Dr. of Love” for the class he taught on Love at USC) and his book, “Love” is a must read.
In this PhilosophersNote, we’ll explore Rule #1 of love (hint: Love yourself!!!), what real love is all about, and how you can jump in and get the most out of your life. I have no doubt you’ll love Buscaglia and his book as much as I do!
