“Brian: Wow! A real person at the other end of a transaction on the internet. I am impressed. Very nice to get the note. Even nicer to discover the work. AMAZING concept. So beats the old cliff notes, executive summaries etc. I am a bookaholic and aspiring writer. To find a way to get the word to as many people is a gift you give these authors. Even greater is the fact that it is transparent up front in partnership with them. On the same wavelenth as many of the books are on my shelf already. Yet several I have yet to take the time to delve into. Oh and one last thing. I am a book jumper. What I mean by this is I read about 10 or 15 at once rarely from cover to cover. I am more into the intuitive relevance. The ones I really like I get the book and the audio. Now I can get philosophersnotes. Will spread the word. PS. Like the zip file download of the PDFs.”
“I was experiencing (once again) some of the toughest few months of my life. But so was everyone else. My "go to" people for encouragement were "gone", off on their own crisis adventures. Suddenly, I was getting well intentioned but ultimately bad advice from strangers. I shut down a little I admit. Didn't want to try anymore. Didn't want to hear "When one door closes..." or "It's always darkest before the dawn." I saw a friend's post about Philosopher's Notes and clicked the link. They have been just enough sweetness to quell my growing bitterness. No cliches but somehow I already knew the lessons which gave me the confidence to listen to and trust myself. I became my own "go to" person in the process. Thank you for reminding me that I am my greatest resource.”

"Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve...Learn to be detached and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle; show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity; avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny." ~ Krishna
